Gretsch model 6101 Blackhawk black -68 serial 98355, beg. (Stockholm)
Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in USA, including original hardcase, worn frets, 3 switches, 3 knobs, all original parts except for a new shiny end pin strap button, disintegrating binding but it is still there, 6pc thumbnail inlays and 3pc dots in the fingerboard, tuning fork bridge, repaired tailpiece (soldered together at the edge), this model was according to Tony Bacon, author of The Gretsch Book - A complete History of Gretsch Electric Guitars made in only 358pc (black and sunburst) so definitely rare! more specs: Some basic specs:BLACKHAWK MODEL 6100/6101 - double round cutaway bound maple body, two f-holes, single-ply bound top and back, maple neck, 22-fret bound fingerboard with thumbnail inlay, dot inlay above the 12th fret, black-face headstock with logo inlay and mounted nameplate, three-per-side tuners, tuning fork roller bridge, G logo Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, raised silver pick-guard with logo, two covered pickups, one knob on upper treble bout, two knobs and one three-way switch on lower treble bout, two three-way switches on lower bass, chrome hardware, available in Black (Model 6101) or Sunburst (Model 6100) finish, 16 in. body width, 2 in. body depth, 24.5 in. scale, mfg. 1967-1972.
