1980s Case Gibson Chainsaw Generation 1 / 2 latch / Protector Case Black and Red
These cases are used by Les Paul collectors world wide to transport expensive instruments and save the original cases, due to great protection and ease of use.
Good condition, 6/10, 2 latch where the front latch has been restored with a new latch ordered from eBay attached with nuts and bolts under the lining, fits a Les Paul, dark red lining, more info: These cases are made of Azdel which is a very strong and hard substance. There are 3 Generations to the Chainsaw case. The 1st generation has two plastic latches on the front of the case and some versions were less padded or extra padded. These are desirable collector's cases because there weren't very many made in this style. However, they are technically 'inferior' due to the lack of the back latch.
