Very Good condition, 7/10, Weight is 3.52Kg Made in USA, including grey original Lifton hardcase, Made at the Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA, small block inlays, Union Made orange oval label, Gibson Deluxe double line tuners, the serial is 400171 (general dating S/no 400001 - 406666 = 1966, total production 2524 guitars), no body/neck repairs, has a scratched number under the serial, some belt buckle wear on the backside but the finish is otherwise in good condition, same owner since 1978, more specs: the neck pickup is the original with PAT NO-sticker, but the original bridge pickup is missing and it now has a Gibson Classic 57+, the original trapeze tailpiece has been replaced with a stop tail (Made in Japan) and there are 6 extra holes still open in the side from the removed tailpiece, the original ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles is in the case but it currently has a Calaham Tune-O-Matic bridge with Vintage Bridge Studs (so no enlarged holes) with steel saddles to improve tone, a small mini switch is glued to backside of pickguard but it is currently not connected (was used for alternative 4-lead pickup coil split), the guitar has the original reflector bonnet knobs but silver labels are missing, the guitar has been refretted a few times over the years and the nibs in the binding are long gone, and the current set of frets have some wear, Some more typical details for the 1966 model year - Short pickguard - Metal strap buttons - Small block fingerboard inlays - Wire added to ABR tuneamatic bridge, with nylon saddles - "Double ring single line" tulip Kluson tuners - Gibson logo with open b and o - Headstock crown still in upper position - Reflector knobs with deep postholes (used 62-70) - Slightly pointed cutaway ears - Indian rosewood finger board - 14° peghead angle - Nut width 1 9/16=39,8mm, (34mm max string width @.010-046), the original neck pickup measures 7,85kOhm and the Gibson 57 Classic measures 9,15kOhm
