1966 Fender Mustang red

Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in USA, including original UK hardcase (the version supplied by UK distributor Selmer, black with red interior), all original parts, the neck stamp is 16MAY66B (the first numbers looks like it was initially stamped 15 for Jaguar but changed to 16 for Mustang), Fender Mustang in its original Red finish. While this guitar may appear to be Dakota Red, when Fender first marketed these guitars, they were just called Red, Blue, and White, the body has patches of wear along the edges, has been refretted and a new nut has been installed, paint stick mark in the neck pocket with pencil markings in the yellow field, both grey bottom pickups (one with yellow/blue cloth wires and one with black/white cloth wires) are dated 8-12-66 and numbered 13 and the underside of the pickguard is signed by LM, the pots are dated 3046618 (18th week of 1966)
