Fair condition, 5,5/10, Made in USA, including black Paco Castillo hardcase, the FON on the neck block is impossible to read but with a little imagination it could start with a 2 and be perhaps 3 numbers long (which fits many of the 1932 FON´s for L-O´s we found out later), this guitar also has the typical logo that started in 1932 with a straight script Gibson without "the" before, and it also has the typical 1930-1932 12-fret neck which changed to 14-fret in 1932 so we would like to call it a transition model, it has a natural mahogany top, the entire body was according to previous owner refinished some time in the 1960´s and it has 2 repaired cracks in the top, kerfed lining, has been refretted and the divots in the fingerboard have been filled, the neck has been reset so it now has a good playing action with a tall angled saddle which gives room for further adjustments, looks like it has a filled hole through the headstock (we have seen this before, some people did this to hang the guitar on a nail on their walls!) and 2 filled holes in the bridge (old repairs? the bridge looks original), more specs from guitarhq.com: 1930 L-0 specs: 14.75" wide lower bout (same body shape as the L-2), body more square at bottom, natural finish mahogany top, b/w/b/w/b soundhole ring, mahogany back and sides, bound top and back, rectangular rosewood with angled saddle, 12 frets clear of body, unbound fingerboard with dots at 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 15th frets, 3-on-strip tuners, 24 3/4" scale length.
