Very Good condition, 7,5/10, Made in Japan (Vestax), including original faux alligator case, rare as it has one humbucker set into the top (as opposed to many of these with the floating pickup), 2 longer repaired cracks in the top, more info: A rare model in the Vestax line, the NYL-5 maximizes player comfort with a fully hollow body, slimmed in depth to just under 2 1/4 inches. Identical otherwise to the popular NYL-2 model, the NYL-5 offers an X-braced solid spruce top, flame maple body, and a humbucking pickup. If you aren't familiar with the NYL-5, it is essentially the same guitar as the 17 inch NYL-2, but with a thinner body. If you were to compare it to a Gibson L-5, the NYL-2 would be the standard L-5 and the NYL-5 would be the L-5 CT. Solid bookmatched X-braced spruce top; solid maple neck; arched flame maple back and sides; solid ebony fingerboard with pearl slashed-block inlays; seven ply top binding; three ply binding; triple bound back, headstock, fingerboard and f-holes.
