1969 Gibson ES-335TDC cherry

Good condition, 6/10, Made in USA, including original black tolex hardcase with a broken/taped handle, no dot over the letter i in the logo and closed b and o is typical of 1967-1972 and since the serial is used both 1966 and 1969 this places this guitar in the year 1969, other tell-tale signs are the beveling of the pickguard and truss rod cover, the knobs and the width of the f-holes, 2 open holes from removed switches in the lower horn and in front of the knobs, replaced tuners and now has Grovers instead of the original Kluson tuners (with open screw holes and oversize washers), has been refretted by an amateur and the binding has been cut in one spot, new nut, original ABR-1 Gibson bridge with patent number (and a small makers mark stamped next to it) underneath and wire retainer holding the metal saddles in place (typical of 1965-late 1960s), this guitar originally left the factory with a trapeze tailpiece but it has been modified with a stop tailpiece (Made in Japan) and a piece of the trapeze (the endpin holder) is still on the guitar, 2pc original patent number humbuckers with Philips brass screws, we have not taken the covers off but we expect them to be T-Top humbuckers typical of this era, the body has an internal stamp 12229x (with the last digit unreadable) visible through the lower f-hole
