Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in USA, including original Järna hardcase (supplied by the Swedish distributor to all Fender instruments sold in Scandinavia during the 1960s and 1970s) with the original warranty card and booklet included plus an era correct strap without the Fender logo on the metal piece, neck date 2DEC63B, this guitar has been refinished twice, under the neck plate we found traces of an old sunburst finish but now it sports a kind of orangey fiesta red, we have the full story of this guitar as we got it directly from the original owners family and there are tons of cool pics to show it´s provenance, we have black and white pics from circa 1964 where we can see that the entire band had purchased brand new Fender instrument including 2 guitars and a P-bass, all in sunburst, and 12 years later on an album sleeve with the band Thor Erics from 1976 where both Strats have the same Fiesta Red finish, now for more specs: all original parts, the previous owner has tried to restore the shrunken pickgaurd with white-out correction fluid but the pickguard is only cracked in the normal spots so not necessary (one tip is gone and some screw hole cracks), the body retains it´s contours but the wood is slightly uneven in some spots due to the sanding, the back plate has two corners broken off, 5 springs in the tremolo cavity, the neck is untouched with original spaghetti logo, 3 patent numbers and Original Contour Body decal, some wear in the original frets, clay dots, the body has a small carve to reach the truss rod, correct square impression in the neck pocket, the aluminium shield has been signed "JJ -98" underneath, possibly after a restoration, all 3 pickups work well and are not re-wound except for the neck pickup which was dead on arrival and has been rewound by Swedish pickup guru Johan Lundgren with correct wire, the pots date 46th week of 1963, correct and original 3-way CRL1452 switch, correct output jack cup (if you know you know, some details need to be kept on the down-low due to forgeries, ask us if you want to know), correct single line Kluson Deluxe tuners (D-169400 Patent No)
