1965 Fender Jaguar refinished red

The Fender Jaguar was introduced as a high-end model guitar four years after the Jazzmaster. Though similar to the Jazzmaster in its offset body and lead/rhythem circuits controls, the Jaguar differed in two key ways. For one, the Jaguar used a shorter 24-inch scale length compared to the 25 1/2-inch of most Fender guitars. Additionally, the Jaguar used two thinner single-coil pickups compared to the feedback-prone soapbox pickups of the Jazzmaster.

Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in USA, including original worn white tolex hardcase, neck stamp 1JAN65B, originally sunburst which can be seen in cavities and wear, clay dots in the rosewood fingerboard, very worn original frets which probably should be refretted soon but we leave this up to the next owner, plays well as it is, the neck plate has a correct 1963 serial number (96601) but is made in Japan and even has a sticker with this info, one switch has a different color and we suspect this to be newer, repro tuners, otherwise all original parts, the electronics look untouched, both 1 MEG AUD pots are dated 3046408 (8th week of 1964), black and green cloth cables, more info: The Fender Jaguar was introduced as a high-end model guitar four years after the Jazzmaster.
