It is also referred to as the Moonlight Special due to its jet black finish and gold hardware. It was made in Japan by FujiGen Gakki. The 2342 is visually similar to Gibson's Les Paul model. It features an African mahogany body with a single cutaway and an arched birch top bolted to a laminated maple neck with an "open book" headstock shape and a 22-fret fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls and 3-way toggle pickup selector, a Tune-O-Matic style fixed bridge with an Ibanez Deluxe stop tailpiece, and gold plated harware. For 1976 the headstock was changed to a revised design. The 2342 was discontinued after 1976. Your guitar was made at the Terada Plant, Japan on October, 1977 Production Number: 224
